Be transported to ancient 'Bohemia' with the Haags Studenten Symfonie Orkest on Sunday, December 17 in the beautiful Paleiskerk in The Hague. We will play the following works:

• “Moldau,” Bedřich Smetana's most famous work, dedicated entirely to the history, landscape and legends of Bohemia. A musical journey from its two source rivers, through Prague and finally to its mouth in the Elbe River.

• “Silent Woods for Cello and Orchestra” by Antonin Dvorak, with soloist Elena Schmider. This original piano work, part of “From the Bohemian Forest,” is arranged for cello and orchestra.

• The “Hungarian Dance No. 1”. by Johannes Brahms, a lively and energetic dance based on Hungarian folklore.

• “Symphony No. 6” by Antonin Dvorak, a compelling composition that reflects the soul of the landscape and people.
