Arne Visser, Conductor & Tuba Player
The Dutch conductor & tuba player Arne Visser (1981) is a versatile musician with a wide interest. As a conductor he is specialized in contemporary and symphonic repertoire, and conducts pop-, film and non-European repertoire as well. With his tuba and euphonium he has a full concertagenda with symphony orchestras, musical theater groups and chamber music ensembles. Arne is a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the associated School for Young Talent.
He works as a conductor at Orkest de Ereprijs, and has conducted ensembles of i.a. the Residentie Orkest, Phion, Nationaal Jeugd Orkest, Orgelpark, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, and the conservatoires of Rotterdam and The Hague. He conducted pop-concerts with i.a. Lakshmi, Mr. Pink Floyd and Indian Bollywood-stars, and is conductor at the Valerius Students-orchestra and the Bataafs Symphony-orchestra.
He works as a tuba- & euphonium player with trend-setting and innovative groups such as Neo-Fanfare 9×13, Conflux Trio and the Pynarello Symphony-orchestra, and has played at Holland Symfonia | Balletorkest Amsterdam, Residentie Orkest, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He is a laureate of several contests, and works as a juror at the European UGDA-contest in Luxemburg.
